Android developers get major SDK update

The Android Software Development Kit (SDK) is seeing a major update coming. An "Early Look version 1.5" has just been released and the final version is coming before the end of the month.

As mentioned on the Android Developers Blog, the new 1.5 SDK which is based on the cupcake branch from the Android Open Source Project, will bring to developers the ability to use several new features such as :

- Soft Keyboards,
- Home Screen Widgets,
- Live folders,
- Speech Recognition.

The "Early Look Version 1.5" SDK can be downloaded for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux on this page.
