Apple could soon extend its European retail presence to France with a new store of Paris at the Carrousel du Louvre.

The Carrousel du Louvre, and Le Louvre, the famous museum are located at the very center of Paris. It's a very crowded area of Paris, mainly because it's very close to Le Louvres Museum and Le Jardin des Tuileries.

There is no indication on the date of opening at the moment but it appears Apple has obtained the lease for its store location at the commercial area of the Carrousel du Louvre.

Le Carrousel du Louvre

The hint at this possible new store location was discovered by a French blogger inside an article of the Chambre de Commerce et de L'Industrie's web site. The article briefly mentions Apple among other companies and indicates the Caroussel du Louvre as target location.

One of the underground stores

When Apple opened its 5th avenue, New York store, many compared its style of architecture to the pyramids and the underground area of the Carrousel du Louvre. A similar store would fit well in that place but will Paris let Apple put an entrance at the Place du Carrousel close to the glass-made pyramids?

Outside the Carroussel du Louvre

Apple had initially been rumoured to be targeting Champs Elysées then Opera for its first Paris locarion but it appears that both tries have failed because of strong demand and a long waiting list to obtain a lease.
